Bristol Cars Group Ltd

Privacy notice.

Bristol has always dealt with its owners directly and discreetly. This notice explains, plainly, what happens to the personal information you share with us.

Who we are

This website is operated by Bristol Cars Group, the home of the Bristol marque. Bristol Cars Group is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this notice at info@bristol-cars.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we receive the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, telephone number if provided, the subject of your interest and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever your message contains.

The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and enquiry submissions are not stored in a website database.

We count visits using Google Analytics in a cookieless configuration: no analytics cookies are set on your device, consent for storage is denied by default, IP addresses are anonymised and no advertising or personalisation features are used. The resulting statistics are aggregated and do not identify you.

Why we use it

We use your details to receive and respond to your enquiry, and to continue the conversation you have started with us, for example about the purchase or commission of a Bristol motor car. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to the people who contact us and, where your enquiry concerns a purchase, the steps needed before entering into a contract.

Who processes it on our behalf

Enquiries submitted through the website are delivered to our mailboxes by Resend, an email delivery provider, using their European (Ireland) infrastructure. Our website is hosted by Vercel, our mailboxes are provided by Google Workspace and aggregated visit statistics are processed by Google Analytics. These providers act as processors for us and apply safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law for any international transfers. We do not sell your details or share them for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are retained as ordinary business correspondence for as long as the conversation, or any resulting transaction, requires, after which they are deleted in the normal management of our mailboxes.

Your rights

You have the rights given by UK data-protection law, including to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. To exercise any of these, email info@bristol-cars.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
