This website is operated by Bristol Cars Group Ltd, the home of the Bristol marque. Bristol Cars Group Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this notice at info@bristol-cars.co.uk.

When you send an enquiry through this website, or register your interest in hearing from us, we receive the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, telephone number if provided, the subject of your interest and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever your message contains. If you register your interest, we use your details to send you occasional news from Bristol Cars, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

The website sets no advertising cookies, and enquiry submissions are not stored in a website database.

When you first visit, a notice asks whether we may set analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics is loaded and sets a small number of cookies so we can understand how the site is used; IP addresses are anonymised and no advertising or personalisation features are used. If you decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded, nothing is sent to Google, and your visit is counted only in aggregate, without cookies, by our hosting provider. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and the notice will appear again. Separately, if you use the EN/中文 language switch, one functional cookie remembers your language for a year so that you are not sent back to the other version. It holds only the language code, is set only when you use the switch, and is not used for analytics.

We use your details to receive and respond to your enquiry, and to continue the conversation you have started with us, for example about the purchase or commission of a Bristol motor car. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to the people who contact us and, where your enquiry concerns a purchase, the steps needed before entering into a contract.

If you register your interest in hearing from us, we send you occasional news from Bristol Cars on the basis of the consent you give when you register. You can withdraw that consent at any time by using the link in any mailing or by emailing info@bristol-cars.co.uk, and we will stop.

Enquiries submitted through the website are delivered to our mailboxes by Resend, an email delivery provider, using their European (Ireland) infrastructure. Resend also holds our contact list: if you register your interest, your name and email address are kept there so that we can write to you, and if you send an enquiry your name and email address are kept there as a record of who has contacted us, marked so that you receive no mailings unless you ask for them. Our website is hosted by Vercel, which also processes aggregated cookieless visit statistics, our mailboxes are provided by Google Workspace and, where you have consented, visit statistics are processed by Google Analytics. These providers act as processors for us and apply safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law for any international transfers. We do not sell your details or share them for marketing.

The Bristol Cars Approved pages show heritage Bristols that are for sale through SLJ Hackett of Warminster, a separate company in which Bristol Cars Group Ltd holds an interest. When you send an enquiry from one of those pages, we pass your name, contact details, message and the car it concerns to SLJ Hackett so that they can answer you about the car. SLJ Hackett then handles that information as the seller, under its own responsibility. The form on each car page says this before you send.

Enquiries are retained as ordinary business correspondence for as long as the conversation, or any resulting transaction, requires, after which they are deleted in the normal management of our mailboxes.

Records held in Resend follow the same rule. An enquiry contact is removed when the correspondence it relates to is deleted, and no later than two years after the last contact from you. An interest-register subscription is kept for as long as you wish to hear from us and is removed when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

You have the rights given by UK data-protection law, including to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. To exercise any of these, email info@bristol-cars.co.uk.
